Southern Cross’ plans Southern Cross offers a range of healthcare plans – from surgical-only plans to comprehensive plans that provide cover for day-to-day treatment with add-on options for dental and optical cover. The aim is always to find a happy balance between cost and cover, so that health insurance is both useful and affordable.
VIP Plan Southern Cross’ VIP Plans reimburse up to 100% of eligible healthcare costs, up to $75,000 for some surgeries and procedures.
These plans are based on a series of modules. The foundation module ensures cover for the problems that are least predictable and have the highest potential cost, namely surgery and medical treatment in hospital.
Then, depending on your needs, you can add modules that cover specialist and diagnostic costs, GP and prescription charges and 75% reimbursement for dental and optical charges.
With VIP you can choose excess options, [based on an annual amount, not per claim, where you agree to pay a part of your treatment costs and, in return, your annual premium is reduced]. Refer to the VIP Schedules of Benefits for details, available from Southern Cross on request.
Please note, reimbursement levels are based on reasonable charges for medically necessary treatment to stated policy maximums. Terms and Conditions for VIP Plans, including limitations and exclusions, are available from Southern Cross on request.
