Initial discussion

The process starts when one of our advisors phones you to discuss your needs and expectations with regard to medical insurance. Our advisor may also come and visit you, take details and have a general chat about the types of available medical insurance. From our initial discussions we look at the various products on offer from all the providers in the market place and make recommendations as to what best meets and matches your needs and circumstances.

Once we have discussed your options and you have decided on which medical insurance to apply for, we work with you to gather the relevant information needed to apply formally.

The insurance company will assess you, based on your lifestyle, previous medical history and various other criteria they use for 'underwriting' your policy.

Offer of insurance

Once the insurance company has completed their assessment (which may require you to have a medical examination - which is normally free of charge), they will make a formal 'offer of terms'. This lists all the things they are prepared to insure you for and, more importantly, those conditions that they are excluding, if any i.e. not covering.

Insurance in place

When you have decided to accept the offer of terms and signed the relevant paperwork and paid, or agreed to pay, the first premium, your insurance is in place.

Ongoing review

The signing of the agreement and the payment of your premium is not the end of the process. We will remain in touch and be available to help should your circumstances change. If you need to use your policy, we are here to work on your behalf to ensure your claim is met quickly and without unnecessary hassle.
